About Project

This project strengthens Indonesia’s preparedness and response to avian influenza, a national priority zoonotic disease with high transmission risk in Java. With increasing poultry production and movement, the program enhances Early Detection, Notification, and Rapid Response systems by reinforcing Emergency Media and Community Engagement (EMCE) capacity within the Ministry of Health.

The project develops a pre-positioned, audience-tailored EMCE messaging toolkit for rapid deployment during outbreaks. It includes audience segmentation, evidence-based messaging frameworks, digital communication materials, and orientation for MoH working groups and local champions.

The approach can be adapted for other zoonotic diseases to strengthen overall outbreak preparedness.
